Evan offers open meditation classes at BREATHE. His experience comes from years of personal practice, formal and informal leadership in Mindfulness organizations in education, and a deep interest in the teaching of G.I. Gurdjieff, an Armenian-born mystic who taught a system of self-observation and inner-work.
He believes there may be many aims to the practice of meditation, but essentially his classes strive to bring students into a deeper contact with themselves– mind, body, and feeling– and further, that by allowing the light of attention to intimately and non-judgmentally see the inner state in which we typically exist, we may begin to experience a shift toward greater alignment.
Evan is a long-time member of the BREATHE community and is grateful for the opportunity to share this practice.
