Justin moved to Boston in 2012 after completing his undergraduate studies in Biology, Human Physiology, and Forensic Science. Working on the mat as an avid Yoga Practitioner and Teacher, and off the mat as a Clinical Program Manager in Oncology, Justin’s passion in life is supporting programs which have the ability to bring about transformative physical, mental, and emotional healing in others.
Hot 26 was Justin’s first introduction to the practice of Yoga in 2013 with Bikram Yoga Boston, and quickly became a near daily friend, helping to break up the growing tedium of adult professional life. After 3+ years his regular practice was put on hold due to an accident which left him with a broken knee and jaw. Returning to the practice at BREATHE in 2022, he quickly developed a love affair with a multi-modality practice including Vinyasa, Yin, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound Healing, Hot 26, and Strength Training.
In his free time when not practicing Yoga, Justin enjoys cooking, singing, playing video games, and cozying up on the couch with his many animal companions and fiancé.
Justin completed his BREATHE Strength, Breathwork (Level 1), and 200 hour Vinyasa teacher trainings in 2024. Justin’s teaching philosophy centers around supporting students’ own abilities to reinforce their personal connections to mind, body, breath, self-love, healing, and community. He believes passionately in Yoga’s ability to guide us through a journey of self-discovery and growth, not just in the physical practice, but in how we might look more deeply inside ourselves and better exchange in positive ways with the world around us.
Justin loves to connect with his students and fellow practitioners, and is enthusiastic about providing safe and inclusive spaces where all students can feel supported in their practice. As a new teacher, Justin is excited to meet you on and off the mat and have the opportunity to act as your guide through your daily yoga journey!
